Inbound Rocket

CRM and Lead Management

What is Inbound Rocket’s CRM and Lead Management?

Proper customer acquisition starts by knowing the person you are contacting. That’s why when someone submits any form on your WordPress site, you want to know more about them. What are the pages they’ve visited, did they return multiple times, did they share certain content?

How does Inbound Rocket’s CRM and Lead Management work?

#1 Inbound Rocket works pretty straightforward, as soon as you activate the plugin we will start tracking each anonymous visit to your website using three cookies (using the evercookie technique).

One cookie stores a unique identifier which doesn’t expire, this helps us to identify the visitor every time he or she returns. The second cookies stores the last visit and expires after an hour, this one helps us to track how often a visitor to your website returns. Finally the third cookie stores Whittier or not someone is subscribed to the site yet. Inbound Rocket tracks where each visitor comes from, what pages they viewed and what actions they take on those pages. You own 100% of your data and we don’t have access to it.

#2 As soon as someone fills out a form on your website, Inbound Rocket will identify that person with their email address and match that data to the profile we’ve been building since their first visit. Inbound Rocket can get that data from on of our power-ups which helps you convert your visitors or from a lot of the major form builders out there. As long as your form builder creates static HTML forms not contained in an iframe, Inbound Rocket should be able to see the form submissions. Examples of form builders which we know will work are:

The most common problems with forms which make it not work properly are:

  • the fact that the form is not enclosed in <form> tags
  • the form is being submitted through AJAX
  • the form has javascript events bound to form submissions or button clicks

#3 You’ll receive an email with a link to the new contact record with all of their visit history. By clicking on this email, you will go straight to your website’s backend where you can view the entire contacts history, put them in different lead lists to easily identify them etc. Ready for you to start contact them.

Inbound Rocket’s WordPress plugin gives you the details you need so you can make your next move.
